Re: We (RB) Got a Mention on CU Podcast
Ahhh ok. Still too lazy to watch again right now, but I remember that Alisia Dragoon review. I honestly didn't think it was that bad. Maybe it is worse than I thought. I'll rewatch later. I do recall thinking... how'd he get in touch with this chic, does she get a percentage of ad rev, is she a legit porn industry person or some random actress looking for any role? That made it odd to me. Overall I attributed to to his Pat character but sure, I agree... poor taste.

James has some bad friends. Nostalgia Critic is the worst.

I was thinking this was universally true, but then I remembered Mark Bussler from CGR. Mark's never outright done anything that made me cringe or shake my head in disdain, that I've seen anyway.nullPointer wrote:It's not like I've come to expect incredible levels of quality/depth/insight/maturity from the retro-gaming YouTube set.
AVGN has had some cool dudes on his show. I always liked Brendan a lot (he played the Glitch Goblin / Bad Luck Bootsy). Never cared for Mike though.

Re: We (RB) Got a Mention on CU Podcast
The CU Podcast is the only Pat material I've watched, I usually let some retro gaming YT play in the background when I'm web browsing or sorting my file system out. I can tell he's pretty blunt and seems to stick to his guns on some things, which makes him seem a little abrasive. I like the podcast though.
I mostly watch AVGN/Cinemassacre, Game Sack, MLiG, and RetroRGB, LGR, and MJR when he has some gaming-centric videos. YT retro gaming crowd as I've seen them seem fine, not always the most knowledgeable (excluding MLiG and Bob from RetroRGB, they're lifesavers), but if you know to take the shows more as entertainment and not as a definitive knowledge base, they're not bad.
As far as the people behind the content or making videos just for clicks, I could care less what they do personally. If they make content I want to watch, I will watch it, if they make content I don't like, I won't watch it.

Shout out to SNESdrunk too, his show is above par.

Yep, I enjoy SNESdrunk's stuff for sure. I also recommend Game Sack.
For something more historical, Jeremy Parish's retrospectives (NES Works, Game Boy Works, SNES Works) are pretty good as well.
