My favorite QT movie is like 5 of them, but I have seen Death Proof soooooo many times. There's just something about it that I adore. Well multiple things that I adore. Also the soundtrack is mandatory Summer driving music for me and my wife.

Since you brought up Dagon, if you want to go the really weird and more artistic route, there is The Call of Cthulhu, a silent film made in 2005 based on the Lovecraft story. I like it, but I'm weird.

I'll second: Stake Land, Descent, Trick r Treat, TXC Massacre (2003)

While I've never seen it mentioned on here in horror or Halloween threads, I enjoyed Carriers. A lesser known Chris Pine movie:
