Wellll if its a launch console it might not make the best Netflix box. My GPU fried. Reportedly (never opened up the later runs) the WiFi receiver causes the GPU to overheat & damage due to where it sat (according to Nintendo rep I spoke with). Never had an issue with my launch Wii... watched three seasons of Veronica Mars... fried it lol.
I had no issue with the picture in 480p via component. A lot of TV is up-converted to 720 anyway.
