Curlypaul, I've been failing to balance my time and responsibilities well, that's where : )
I got to really missing this community and decided it was time to start cutting back my on-line activities in other areas so I could dedicate some time back here again.
If you like Megamix, Fighting Vipers might be worth a try. It's not super balanced like VF2, but it's much better balanced than Megamix, so better for at least attempting competitive play.
Alternatives to Capcom fighters on the Saturn
Re: Alternatives to Capcom fighters on the Saturn
Fvgazi and I were playing this the other day. We thought of you, Dave! Anyway, it's actually not a bad fighter at all. It does feel like it ripped off Capcom in some places, but at least they took the good parts.dsheinem wrote:+1Breetai wrote:How about the Golden Axe game (Golden Axe: The Duel)? The graphics are nice and interesting, and it is very playable. It's also a Saturn exclusive, so you wouldn't have had a chance to see this game elsewhere outside of arcades.

Yes and it is fairly pricedwip3outguy7 wrote:Is that one worth tracking down? It's always been a curiosity of mine.Bradtemple87 wrote:I played some Asuka 120% Burning Fest the other day. The ground bounce is over the top in that game!

I dunno. There's something just a tad wonky about Golden Axe. It's interesting, but there's something missing that keeps it from being a longer-term interest for me. I don't know quite how to describe it.
Re: Alternatives to Capcom fighters on the Saturn
What is "fairly priced"? Last I remember, it was hovering around US$40. Made me debate what the differences were between the Saturn and PSX editions of the game.Bradtemple87 wrote:Yes and it is fairly pricedwip3outguy7 wrote:Is that one worth tracking down? My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
