I don't have a spare, but here is a link for a slim flip top swap magic combo.

I'd just look into getting a modchip installed personally.

I'm really lazy about doing it myself. (That's why I still have a GCN modchip laying around). And I gather that paying for a modchip, and then shipping it someone and paying to have it shipped back so they can do it for me, would be $$$.AppleQueso wrote:I'd just look into getting a modchip installed personally.

That's the old version (3.6) without dual layer support. Get 3.8 from modchip.caCRTGAMER wrote:I don't have a spare, but here is a link for a slim flip top swap magic combo.

No need for a slide, flip top, etc. if you do the very easy tissue mod I posted above.

Okay the newer version, a little better price, depending on shipping?dsheinem wrote:That's the old version (3.6) without dual layer support. Get 3.8 from modchip.caCRTGAMER wrote:I don't have a spare, but here is a link for a slim flip top swap magic combo.

Re: How easy is it to play imports on PS2?
Now I'm getting ideas...
Re: How easy is it to play imports on PS2?
Is it really difficult to get a mod chip in the US?
My PS2 is chipped and plays everything. I'm pretty sure it'll play Xbox games if I put them in.
Edit: I use a chip called Thunder Pro II. I think it's national. It plays NTSC-U, NTSC-J and PAL games (yes, it converts colors and frequency from NTSC to PAL and vice versa). It's compatible with dual layer DVDs, boots from memory card, HD or flash drive, and even upscales the output. Pretty useful and I think something like this is more what noise is after.
