I don't have a spare, but here is a link for a slim flip top swap magic combo.

I'd just look into getting a modchip installed personally.

I'm really lazy about doing it myself. (That's why I still have a GCN modchip laying around). And I gather that paying for a modchip, and then shipping it someone and paying to have it shipped back so they can do it for me, would be $$$.

That's the old version (3.6) without dual layer support. Get 3.8 from modchip.ca

No need for a slide, flip top, etc. if you do the very easy tissue mod I posted above.

Ah, well tissue method for you in the slim I guess. It's REALLY easy to do.

Okay the newer version, a little better price, depending on shipping?

Is it really difficult to get a mod chip in the US?

My PS2 is chipped and plays everything. I'm pretty sure it'll play Xbox games if I put them in.

Edit: I use a chip called Thunder Pro II. I think it's national. It plays NTSC-U, NTSC-J and PAL games (yes, it converts colors and frequency from NTSC to PAL and vice versa). It's compatible with dual layer DVDs, boots from memory card, HD or flash drive, and even upscales the output. Pretty useful and I think something like this is more what noise is after.
