What RPG are you playing right now?
Re: What RPG are you playing right now?
Persona 3 on the PSP. I have custom firmware on my PSP, and I found an "undubbed" version of P3P shortly after. I bought it from PSN ages ago but basically playing the undubbed version since right now DLing anything huge (like at least 50-75 MB) is a crapshoot if I can't use GetRight.

Finished EaryhBound last night. What a wonderful and surreal adventure. There really is no other game like it.
No to continue on with SMTIV before I start up Xillia.

Re: What RPG are you playing right now?
Thusly I've put 8 hours into The Last Story, thoughts so far...
Good
------
Deep and fun combat system with some innovative concepts.
Great art direction.
I like my party members.
Really good aesthetic customization options for party members as well.
Nice OST
Pretty fast pace keeps you from feeling bored.
Upgrading weapons and equipment works well and is fun.
No Wiimote waggle to speak of.
Bad
----
This game should be called "The Love Story"... half the plot is about romance. I find watching other people fall in love to be boring.
Often bad frame rate and many muddy textures, I've seen prettier on Wii.
Way too much press A to win so far, I'd like for the game to take the kid gloves off and make me actually have to strategize the battles.
This is almost more of an action adventure game than an RPG.
Well I've still got a long way to go, but so far The Last Story is highly decent and I don't regret giving XSEED my money last year.

Playing through Albert Odyssey on the Saturn at the moment. I'm really enjoying the game quite a bit. Great music, good story and some of the funniest dialogue ever. Quite frequent random battles, but I don't really mind them.

I've had a cart of this laying around for about a year now and I finally decided to give it a chance today. This game has been a real treat so far, a lot of humor and personality in the dialogue, and i'm a big fan of the auto-kill on weaker enemies (especially with the limited time I have to play).
I remember being really turned off by the game when I noticed that your party didn't appear on the battle screen, it seems like such a stupid thing to quit a game over now.
Really looking forward to playing through this.

Started Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance 1 last night on PS2. I quite enjoyed it. I think it'll be solid hack n slash, grab loot, & level up action.
Still chugging on Tales of the Abyss on 3DS.

Haha, I was the same way. When I first discovered emulation some years ago I saw loads of recommendations for the game but was really turned off by the lack of battle animation compared to the FF games. The whole game is really quirky, weird, and even heartwarming. I can see why there's quite a cult following for the game now.

Working through Earthbound myself too. I'm about to arrive in Scaraba for the first time. Can anyone give me an estimation of how far I am through without spoilers?
