Very awesome. We lost our dog over the summer, but plan to get a new one in a couple years. I want a puppy that my kids can grow up with.
Thanks duder.
Ripley is wearing the bandana to cover up some nasty skin cancer. Wish I could tell if it bothers her or not, but she is always so spry and seems to be happy. She's on predisone (sp?) which is a steroid that helps suppress the cancer, but dries out her skin. My wife and I are thinking about cutting the dose in half to see if that helps clear up her rashes, as since taking the medicine she's lost a lot of fur.
I'll be a wreck when she passes, but I can assure you I enjoy every second while she's with me. Hopefully she'll make it to fourteen, which will be in January, but I'm not holding my breath (not to sound pessimistic). As Forrest Gump would say, "She's my best good friend".
Good luck with the puppy. I'd highly suggest rescuing a dog, but do whatever you feel comfortable with seeing as you have kids (rehabbing an attack dog isn't easy).
