It's a fun romp. The special effects of the enemy were very well done and unique. That will be the most memorable years from now looking back on it. The tag line is: How do you stop any enemy you can't see? The movie is in full swing 15 minutes in. You know all you need to going in from my post above. I recommend not even watching the trailer due to that & the quick story turn up. I dig a movie that jumps right into the main plot. While there's an intriguing, mysterious element to the enemy, it's a sit back and enjoy Sci Fi action flick at its core. Save it for a night when you're just wanting to turn off your brain for a bit and relax with a movie that's not too deep.

I watched that one last year sometime. To me, it more or less felt like something that was intended to be a video game, but then they just decided to film the cutscenes and make a movie instead.

I thought it was a good workout movie for the exercise bike. There are some major unanswered questions that make things ultimately fall apart if you're a nit-picker like me, which is why being distracted by the exercise bike was helpful. But the movie does look good, and it shows it had a budget. Boy, is the main character bland, though.

All fair points. I think it would've made for a nice video game story. Spectral FPS coming soon

Yeah, I had some questions about that ending scene as well, but ultimately didn't overly care and enjoyed it for what it was.

speaking of scifi, Annihilation looks awesome.

OH! And has anyone else watched the trailer for Ant-Man & The Wasp yet? It looks great.

Yeah, Annihilation does look great and a good amount of trippy.

I really didn't care for the first Ant-Man, not really sure why, I do like Paul Rudd. I'll give the new one a chance though, movies to me are all about expectations and my mood or where I'm at in life, so maybe I just saw it at the wrong time.

Speaking of Paul Rudd, check out him and his manly mustache in the trailer for the new movie Mute:

I can't decide if Annihilation is going to be any good. I was going to wait for some normal viewer reviews to flow in. The trailer is intriguing though!

Has anyone watched Hush? It is a horror film where the protagonist is mute and deaf. I've been meaning to watch this one for over a year now! Is it as legit as the trailer makes it look?

All The Way - HBO Films

Image

I love history and how HBO docudrama films captures the past. John Adams and From the Earth to the Moon mini series probably my favorite put out by HBO. Though I have mixed feelings on some of President Johnson's policies, a well told multiple level story and superb acting. This is the third film I had watched from the last day of President Kennedy era that did not recreate the famous taking oath of office on board Air Force One. A powerful image that I would have liked to see in a movie; maybe the snapshot should just remain in that timeless photo?
