So what have you guys been watching lately?

I've only seen two episodes with River Song and I loved her in both of them. She was a very nice counterpoint to Smith's Doctor.

I'll google it tomorrow, but if anyone wants to let me know what in the name of all that is holy happened to Myth Busters please feel to bring me up to speed.

I know it's on a different channel )or sci is running reruns), and it looks like they completely cleaned house, which stinks. Saw an episode tonight involving "A*Team mythbusting" and it was really, really bad.

Adam and Jamie used to give an occasional "That was cool" and perhaps a high five, but they Adam screams continuously, and then the show loops it.

Cardboard targets to simulate people. I can't believe there is something more silly than that in the show but there's much worse. It's turned into a pure "reality" show.

Know what this show never needed? Constant dramatic music in the background as if they were going to kick someone off of Survivor. They also don't to constanty dress up the stars in costumes. They don't need to show extended clips of Jamie pretending to use a backhoe.

There were several shots of a close up of Jamie in the backhoe moving around levers, followed by a shot of someone totally different doing the actual digging and driving. It's dumbfounding that a once smart show (yeah they blew up stuff but you learned a thing or two) has turned into this. And dammit, I miss the redhead.

I know True Detective was discussed a few pages back. I really enjoyed it.

I'm also Cajun (my great grandparents didn't converse in English & my late Grandfather preferred to speak "French" aka Creole) on both sides of my family so I dug the creepy occult/voodoo-ish/Louisiana story line.

Season 2 is reportedly also going to have an occult tone. Interesting mix up for the typical cop genre.

Overall I liked the first season. I think 8, 1 hour episodes was just right. It wasn't drug out.

"Can you tease some of the other myths that you’ll be taking on?
We also delve into an episode about The A-Team, which was one of my favorites. It’s very funny."

It wasn't funny, it was atrocious. It was as bad as an episode of naked and afraid.

These guys are straight up delusional.

It was funny. You just have a bad sense of humor.

Pray tell what was funny. Not being a jerk, I need to know.

The part whee Adam chomps on a fake cigar and then Jamie pretends it is real?

The part where they loop Adam's laughter at things that aren't funny?

The part where they loop Adam's "WOOOOOO!"'s at things that aren't woo-worthy?

I will say that if anything was funny about the episode is when they built things with all pre-cut wood and basically had a montage of them "building things" by using a screwdriver.

The homeless woman was horrible. In the Sons of Anarchy after show somebody in the audience asked Kurt Sutter what the point of the homeless woman was and his response was basically, uh... art? Like, if he left it up to interpretation it seemed deep and meaningful. It just came off as heavy-handed Jesus symbolism, as if we haven't seen that before...

I'm still on the fence whether the major changes made this season of GOT were made to further the narrative or for shock value.
