Won't happen... remember the Saturn when the Dreamcast was announced as the future.
Are they working on something? Sure. 2016 or after @ a minimum IMO.
What are you looking forward to in E3?

Wii Music.
Just kidding. Looking forward to what Sony has in store (of course). I hope they have some surprises left and drop some megatons.
The Last Guardian would do it. If/when that game comes out it will never live up to the hype now.

Wait, even if they release a new console, wouldn't the WiiU still not be powerful? How does announcing and releasing new hardware, make the WiiU better? Confusion many.Hazerd wrote:Nintendo announcing new hardware that is far superior to the PS4/XB1, so people would shut the fuck up about the Wii U not being powerful enough.
I can dream right?
I'm on the same page though, and I got to say, Nintendo better not FU#$ING announce new hardware. The WiiU is fine. Give us some games. Don't say games in 2016, or something ghey. Give us games now. Pull a M$ and say, these games have already shipped and ready to buy next Tuesday!
Also, use your back catalog. Sure, Zelda, Mario, and Smash Bros.... ok.
But how about a proper Metroid game? Not a Prime game. Take the formula from New Super Mario Bros., and make a New Super Metroid U. That's just one franchise. Do that with some others, F-Zero, StarFox, etc. and watch the WiiU's sell like hotcakes.
Actually, if you want WiiU's to fly off the shelves, Nintendo should partner back up with Square (since Sony recently dropped them) and they should announce the FF7 remake on WiiU. (Which would be poetic justice, since the original FF7 was supposed to be for the N64 and Square jumped ship in favor of a disc based system.)
*ninja edit* I forgot to say why I think Nintendo would be dumb to release new hardware. I think someone already mentioned it in this thread: They'd be alienating the fans that have already purchased the WiiU. It'd be like the path Sega took, and we all know how well that worked out for them. Nintendo can sell the WiiU. It's not bad tech. at all. They need to push the games to the gamers. Right NOW! If they wait much longer.... they may not have to worry about it anymore.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. You know Square Enix make games for all platforms, right?
OT: I am too am interested in Playstation Now as I held off buying a PS3 with the intent to catch up with those games on PS4. Generally though the days of big surprises at E3 seem to be gone in the age of 24hour gaming news sites. I can still wish for a new Crash Bandicoot or Shenmue 3 though. Sigh.

1) the self-censorship of "fucking"
2) the homophobic term
3) the misspelling of the homophobic term
4) the "M$" abbreviation for Microsoft
so much shit in just a few lines of text.

Yeah, I know that they make games for all consoles, but recently Sony dropped support of them. I don't know what that means exactly, but Square maybe in a place to do something huge to get back some lost business. And Nintendo needs something badly right now as well. So an FF7 remake on the WiiU exclusively might just do that. Of course, FF7 is probably just vaporware and it'll never get made. But as a fan of the original, I can dream? LOL. I'll find a link to the news article and edit my post with it.

It looks like Sony sold all of the stock they owned in Square Enix (which was enough to give them part ownership of the company.) So, while they weren't exclusive by any means, I'm guessing that Square is none too happy with Sony. If Nintendo were to somehow buy those shares, it's be huge for both parties. Maybe. They'd have to actually do something with it. But we can hope.
