You guys really have no issue paying full price for the same game twice? I don't mind being the only dissonant voice in the hallway, but I just don't understand it.

I don't know if I'll buy it at launch - depends on if there's a CE or some other incentive. Otherwise I will likely wait a bit for a price drop and/or until I feel the urge to play it again.

I don't like the use of "definitive" but other then that I am fine with re-releases it basically just an enhanced GOTY version in most cases.

In my opinion the definitive version of a game is the original version at release. Everything else after that is just a revision with extra polish.

Exactly. While this wasn't the only reason they released it I'm sure, it is reason enough alone.

A guy I work with was considering buying a PS3 for this one game. Now, he's considering buying a PS4 for this game now, others later.

And now you know the reason why there's no backwards compatibility.

Usually i don't issue with these things (i mean i love the idea of PS2 classics on the PS3) but this game is barely a year old... it is necesary?
We will only know when the PS4 version comes out to see if it really is a upgrade.
