Here I was thinking I was the old man out. I'm 35.J T wrote:At 36, I am the equivalent of two legal adults (18 + 18).
I've been playing video games for over thirty years now. And I still love them... so much for "growing out of it".
The two most notable games released my birth year (1979):

I think Akalabeth still has a cool cover. But that $34.95 in today's money equals $113.02!
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Re: Want to Feel Old? PS2 vs NES Launch Timeline
In 1994 I was happily playing both NES and SNES, skateboarding and listening to Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Pantera, and Rage Against The Machine. My adolescence was well underway and you were just being borndarsparx wrote:Dang i feel young compared to you guys but 1994 wasn't to bad of a year for gaming:

BTW, 1994 was an awesome year for just about everything. Movies, games, music, all had awesome years.

Well the 90's for me were just awesome years for gaming even if I was too young to know itFrag Mortuus wrote:In 1994 I was happily playing both NES and SNES, skateboarding and listening to Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Pantera, and Rage Against The Machine. If anyone's interested, I've made a thread where we list games released on our birth years sometime ago.

Re: Want to Feel Old? PS2 vs NES Launch Timeline
Responses are cracking me up.
I prob should've also mentioned the Dreamcast will be 15 & the NES will be 30 this yr. This might hit home a bit more to me as I bought a DC right around launch & a PS2 yrs later.
Thanks for the link GSX.

I bought the PS2 in 2001 when I was ten years old. It was the first console that I bought with my own money. Can't believe it's been almost 13 years. Also, I still remember late '98 to early '99 when the Dreamcast was the hot, new console. Back then, the GameStop in my mall was a Babbages.

I can't believe the CD-I entered the world the same year I did. It remains to see who will be more successful...
