Question for you guys:

What other gaming podcast do you listen to? ... or other Podcast in general?

I assume John listens to RPGamer. I need to DL the episode he was on there some time ago. Their crew is entertaining, tuned in to a few of their shows.

Reason I ask is that my commute to my new job just increased my drive time about 20 mins. Not a big deal... more time with my morning coffee and my podcasts. Just need more of them to listen to now

I listen to it at times. I am also participate in some of the rpg backtrack shows.

Is the disdain the gaming community holds towards companies for "shady" DLC practices (e.g. Disc-locked content, day-one DLC) mostly unwarranted?

If the content was planned to be monetized anyway, what does it matter if it's available day-one or on the disc?
