Frown: This morning when I plopped on my couch before work I felt something snap and now it sags fiercely on one side. I opened up the bottom and it looks like one of the wooden supports that holds the elastic that keeps the cushion plush has snapped, and taking a look at it I don't think I'd be able to repair it myself. Sending out for some quotes on getting it repaired, since I'd rather not get a new couch (this one's only a few years old).

WTF? You're MrPopo. You can afford to just buy the couch from Dr. Katz Professional Therapist.

You or one of your friends don't have a hammer, some small nails, and the ability to go to Home Depot and say "please sell me a 1x2 piece of wood and can you please cut off a 32 inch (or whatever) section for me"? They'll cut stuff a little bit for you.

Yeah, the issue isn't the materials. I can't get the wood back into place because there's way too much tension with the heavy-duty elastic. It's pretty deep in the couch and I can't get a c-clamp to hold things together while I drive some nails in. I'm sure with enough effort I could rig something together and get it done, but it reaches the point where I'd rather spend a few bucks and get it done right.

 Well got a call from Comcast today about an overdue account. Supposedly someone in a small town over an hour away opened up an account in my name and social and ran up a $500+ bill in PayPerView. So now I had to get police to come over and fill out an identify theft report, fill out a form and get notarized, and send it in with proof of residence. It seems like no one cares, and the onus is on me to clear my name, and not necessarily to find the offender.
Well that sucks, is the loser not at the address he got cable at? Confusing.
No idea... They know the service address. So who knows if they still live there or not. It seems a dumb thing to try to steal.
Wow... maybe it's my Cajun blood but I'd be asking what address MY account was under & I'd be knocking on a door... yeah, I can picture my wife talking me out of it now lol :D

Seriously sucks though. Some people are so lazy. I'm considering cutting my Comcast cable to save $60 a month while others are stealing it... something wrong with that.

:) - Finally got my code to volunteer at the shelter. I thought I was going to clean up shit but they just had me walk some dogs and play with cats. It felt good letting them out of their cages. Especially some the older dogs who have a lesser chance of being adopted.

Congrats! I don't think I could do that job, as then all the kitties would have to come home with me.

:D - The LEGO Movie is AWESOME! The Ethiopian food the lady and I shared after was very very tasty, and I ate way too much.

8) - Also acquired a free CRT TV today from my buddy down the road. Today's been a good day.

Well last night was a total bust.

My group of ragamuffins finally showed up at around 10pm with all the energy of a ten day old housefly. I put FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF on in the theater and my guests proceeded to fall asleep, and my house was empty before the movie was over.

I repeat, they couldn't stay awake for FERRIS BUELLER.

Not even sure why they came over in the first place.

However I am glad to hear that Stark's family is doing well and hopefully MrPopo's couch will get the tender loving care it deserves.

I'll be spending my day doing home improvements and kicking rocks.

:( My cat had killed my saturn....its a short and sad story. Large cats should not try to fit into small spaces and then use physics to test the laws of gravity.

:( Tried to use my SSF emulator to play some saturn games, specifically Dragon Force, only to find it to chug considerably.

:D Search for an update. I found out I had an old version. Updated it and VOILA every issue I encountered was fixed. Thanks Obama!
