So what have you guys been watching lately?

My only gripe is the weak CG, but most likely due to a relatively small budget.

Don't know if this was intentional, but the last scene of Sleepy Hollow's season finale kind of mirrored the final moments of one of Joss Whedon's Angel season finales. I got a little giddy from seeing that. Also, Sleepy Hollow is proving what Fringe fans already know, John Noble is one of the best TV actors ever. In a cast that includes many good performers, he still manages to tower over them all.

I'm on kind of a supernatural drama kick right now as I get caught up on Grimm season 1, and I've really enjoyed the last two episodes of CW's Supernatural. They've brought back memories of the stuff that made season 5 so good, which is delving into biblical mythology and adding new twists on it. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing "The Father of Murder" this last episode, who puts fear into the king of hell himself.

On another note, I'm gonna check out The Americans and Orphan Black tonight

So much good TV these days it's ridiculous, though I'm kind of over American Horror Story Coven. The show has gotten a bit too ridiculous and the plot seems to be heading no where with only two episodes left. Dissapointed

The Americans was the best new show last year IMO.

Also rewatching Veronica Mars before the movie drops in March.

Fashion Police. A show I happily admit to watching every Saturday for over a year now. It's mostly Rivers telling crude jokes and the panel fake laughing at them, but I like looking at Juliana and George sometimes is a fashion inspiration. Yup, I said it. Fashion inspiration.

Finished out "Lone Gunmen" last week and saw "Jump the Shark" yesterday...

I'm almost done with X-Files after about a year. Just have a few more episodes and the latest movie... I'll always have the memories

Watching The Men Who Built America. Great special History Channel did.

I saw that one. Very cool stuff that explains how the United States became an industrial powerhouse. It certainly didn't happen by accident. It's especially nice to see a history channel program that's actually about history.

Will I like Helix?

Helix actually seems to be moving more and more into a Lost like direction, with all these different mysteries they have going on and the commercials urging people to visit some website to learn more of the show's secrets. Just replace Lost's mysterious island with a mysterious research facility and you're halfway there.

The show's interesting, but thus far though, I would not say it's hit any of BSG's highs yet, but it has the potential to given Ron Moore's involvement. BSG is a tough show to be compared to though, it was one of the greatest TV shows I've ever seen. Easily top 5 or at least top 10 for me. Helix is definitely not on that level from what I've seen so far....yet.

I finished Homeland season 3 today, boy that show definitely picked up steam. After the first few episodes of the season I was very lukewarm on the show, but it really got awesome again in the last 4 or 5 episodes. The finale felt like a series finale, but apparently they've been picked up for yet another season.

Poor Jennifer Lawrence, I just read about the major spoilage she got about the season 3 finale. I'd be so pissed. This is what I mean about people just stupidly blurting out major spoilers in casual conversation. It annoys the fuck out of me.
