Some people say bump, some people say new thread, some persons say do neither as long as said persons have addressed that topic at some point in the forums life.

As long as the topic is brought up in one shape or another, I am always happy to talk.

Personally I don't mind either way. I understand completely if an old thread has been bumped simply because that individual may not have been around when that thread was active. What is said may not be enough for a whole new topic. When I was new I definitely created a few topics where one was created shortly before. And in that fashion I had a link to the old topic two to three posts down from the start. I didn't mind I should have done a search for older topics that either answered my questions or make a contribution to an ongoing and/or inactive thread.
As a side note, I went back through "View your posts" where I started my first few topics, all wide eyed and bushy tailed. I remember the way I typed such as grammar, tone, and basically lack of any concrete knowledge of retro, and it is vastly different then today (five years later). Just in general really. I remember I was kind of, how you say, closed minded. Not in the sense of "I won't listen to reason" but more in the way that I didn't know much. I was a college student, either second or third year, and my mind was quite closed in the sense of understanding other people and myself (real deep I know). In that time I graduated and really "grew up" when I got a job at a bank in Manhattan and was exposed to a multitude of different people.

How many times have you eaten whilst gaming? You would be at less risk if you ate off your toilet seat, unless that doesn't get cleaned either...
I so hope that was a joke. I always wash my hands before I game. Don't perceive me as a little child who is snotty does what he wants. I'm very clean and be more and happy to take pictures of everything I own and show you that everything is kept in pristine condition. But then again why should I. I'm not here to impress you since you are of no importance in my life. You know, when you assume, you make and ass out of you, and in this case, just plain you.

Again to everyone else, thanks for the input. I've tried some methods mentioned here and it seems to work.
See this right here, from a topic regarding yellowed Wii Controllers, was during a time when I also had a stick up my ass and took offense from jokes such as this. I did of course react pretty badly as clearly shown. Damn I was an idiot. I truly apologize Niode. I meant no offense.
In any event.

I think you said it exactly, right man. A few threads may be dormant but still have some purpose, if only as an archive of the site's past discussions.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
