So what have you guys been watching lately?

I watched the premiere of Under The Dome. I was hoping to have finished the book before the series started, but I didn't make it as I'm not quite halfway through it. As it turns out, it doesn't matter because the series retains the premise, but looks to be telling a somewhat different story. Nothing wrong with that. The premiere was very well done, so I look forward to seeing how the plot unfolds.

started watching The Wonder Years from Ep1 this weekend. 5 down. Still one of my all-time favorite shows. Staggering just how fleshed out characters were from the very beginning. Such a great show.

Hell on Wheels.

Great acting, period piece (although still dark time in our history), has a western vengeance theme, & amazing production quality.

A+ for AMC again.

Timeless. Kevin's Father is surprisingly my favorite character. He plays that role perfectly.

There was a rumor going around for a while that Paul was Marilyn Manson when he was kid.

That rumor still gets around.

Some of my friends hated Kevin's Father, because he was "soulless". To me he was your white collar Father who worked his tail off and didn't show much emotion because he wanted his son to grow into a man.

If you are in the 27+ crowd, your Grandfather was probably the same way to his kids.

Actually, that was my dad. I may not always like him, but I definitely respect him.

Mine too.

He's a different "Dad" now, but growing up he was stern, blunt, and didn't give a hoot. This sums it up pretty well:

When I was around eight years of age my Pops was working on an outdoor project. I walked over and asked "Can I help?" and his response was "Yeah, you can get out of my light".

Not that he didn't take us to hockey games, theme parks, and goof around some times. That happened frequently. But overall he was a no nonsense, do what your Mother says, don't talk back guy.

heh I remember that rumor.

I always liked the show, but I never saw the attractiveness of Winnie Cooper. Sure, now the girl is quite lovely, because she grew into her Anime eyes and little chin (and shes really smart, so that makes her superhawt), but back then I just never saw it.

I can't even remember now, did Kevin end up with Winnie at the end? I remember his brother took over the store (furniture?) that the dad ran, and I remember that the dad passed away a few years later, but I can't seem to remember what happened between Kevin and Winnie.
