Those are all games I either owned or rented in the N64 prime. My taste would probably differ today. Recently I've emulated the N64 FPS games for example. I need to beat Doom 64.alienjesus wrote:The draw to Blast Corps and Wave Race at least is that they are both awesome as fuck!Jagosaurus wrote: The N64 had my attention before that mostly for multi player (Golden Eye, Mario Kart, Star Fox) & Zela OoT. I can't explain my draw to some games on N64 I really enjoyed though: Rampage, Wave Race, Clay Fighters, Glover, Extreme G, Blast Corp. Actually looking at that list... all multiplayer except Glover![]()
Extreme G always looked pretty cool to me too, but I've yet to try it.
I have tried Glover, and it was just OK. It was an interesting game though, for sure.
Oh, and Blast Corps isn't multiplayer, so the draw to that one is just the 'awesome as fuck'ness of it all
I did emulate Wave Race recently as well & oddly, it is extremely relaxing for a racing game. The water sounds and music add to that. I didn't remember that.
I always thought Glover looked like the Hamburger Helper mascot
Another friend of mine always loved motorcycles so he received Extreme G for a birthday. We played it a lot. He always smoked me :/
Ahhh ok @ Blast Corps. We didn't own that one but rented it sevreal times. I associate it with a group huddled around a CRT. Must've been passing the controller around.
The N64 is an odd one for me. I have fond memories of it, but I'm not really drawn to it today. It was the first system I saved my own money for so that alone makes me appreciate it. I can emulate the 10 or so games I want to revisit or experience. Going to DL Mischief Makers now...
