I really liked Hugo and actually play as him regularly, he is a great Zangief alternative and I really like his wobbly stance and animations. I was really looking forward to him in SF4, a Zangief vs Hugo match would rock.
I do agree on Twelve and the head/palette swaps, Q's design was ok to me.

At the risk of getting off-topic, I agree. Or rather, I kind of wish SF4 had at least more of a new cast, not just bringing back the original 8 from SF2. Or at least some sort of change to the originals, being this is later in the series. Sounds ridiculous to be focused on the story too much, but I dunno.racketboy wrote:Q was ok. Not the best and not the worst of the SF3 bunch.
And yes, you are right about the fun factor.
I have a ton of fun with Third Strike, so that's all I really need.
When I first played the original SF3, I was a bit disappointed that all my favorites weren't in it (much like the first Alpha), but I eventually learned to love it's advantages and learn a fresh crop of characters.
I hope SF4 has more new characters so I have a good reason to play it over the older iterations.
They did -- there are three new ones. But I'm curious if there will be more since first-gen iterations of Street Fighter games usually have a relatively small number of characters. Compared to Alpha and Street Fighter 3, SF4 has a pretty high ratio of old-to-new characters.Ack wrote:I thought they had announced at least a couple of new characters. Did I mishear?
