I got scared whenever Beast from Disney's The Beauty and the Beast appeared on screen so I ran and hid behind the door, peeking with one eye haha

For some reason nothing ever really scared me even as a kid when it came to stuff on the TV. I even accidentally ended up seeing parts of Friday the 13th and NIghtmare on Elm Street before I was in like jr high and while it was supposed to be scary it more drew me in but didn't make me afraid or get nightmares.

The one movie that oddly ever got me, and only the first time I was probably like 8 years old and it came on a pay movie channel -- Ghostbusters. That nasty shooshing ghost during the opening in the underground area of the library. Went from pretty and wanting quiet to one hell of an in your face pop scare before people called them that and ran it into the non-scary ground in video games.

My Aunt & Uncle were letting me watch horror way too early on LaserDisc . I handled scary stuff pretty well due to that BUT remember this movie...

That scene with the giant teddy bears with drills coming out of them  . Nope! Scared that cap out of me as a kid.

ha! I watched that movie so many times as a kid. It's really not good, though.

Well when it comes to me what didn't scare me as a kid was the exception  Anything to deal with the concepts of mortality, eternity, death, the innards of people being splayed or the demonstration of suffering greatly influenced my outlook on life (as most people experience it too, it's part of basic psychology) One scene that always comes vividly is the end of Runaway Train where Jon Voight stays on the train.. It creeped me the hell out for some reason. Will he spend the rest of his life on that locomotive? It didn't occur to my juvenile mind that tracks don't run on forever or that the train itself would run out of diesel eventually

French films and cartoons also creeped me out on many occasions. They can produce just the right amount of weird to stick with you for years and years

The last scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark where they open it. I had nightmares that night.

The dark, creepy atmosphere of The Last Unicorn. That drunk skeleton followed by the scene with the bulls. I cried when I was a kid.

When I was really young, I enjoyed The NeverEnding Story, but there was something about it that really creeped me out, that I don't really remember. Maybe Falcor? I don't think it was that specific, though. Not sure why I liked it so much despite being generally creeped out by it, either.

Anyway, unequivocally the most terrifying thing from my youth is the tunnel scene in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (even more so than the 'redrum' part of The Shining that I saw when I was five or six).

Seriously, why?
