I wasn't expecting to hear that. I'll keep my eyes open for one of these. I'd like to try one out for myself.
It looks like Pelican put out several models. The "Predator" model seems to be the one seen most on ebay. Can't speak to that one but I dig this one.
I sunk a bit of time into Black (a great PS2 FPS) and the dual analog sticks work great. I did notice it seems I have to press the buttons
slightly harder than a dual shock to shoot, duck, etc. I could be imagining it though bc I'm overly paying attention to it.
VERY little RF interference, it has goofed up/stalled for a
split second maybe 3 times in 35 hours of gameplay. I know it was RF interference and not the buttons malfunctioning bc the green light indicating a solid RF connection blinked. I'm not upset with that at all. Way better than IR and before the days of Bluetooth.
I think I'm about to have to replace the triple AAA batts at around 35 hours of gameplay. Not terrible either.
Verdict: Overall, I'd give it a 7/10 today for a third party controller. Let's see if it stands the test of time though. Well worth the $15 shipped I paid for it brand new in packaging.
Now.... to get a Dreamcast to PS2 controller adapter to use it wirelessly on my DC
