Same here. I was going strong for a while, but now I find myself thinking "I want to play something, but I don't know what to play." Because everything just feels so "forced". I use my recently lowered attention span as an excuse, but I just find it harder and harder to sit down and play a game like I used to be able to for hours on end. Maybe I just haven't found the right game to spend a lot of hours on, I don't know. But I don't like it, and it's part of the reason why I'm trying to part with some of my collection, kind of in hopes of enjoying what I have a little more. I don't want to collect just to collect, something about that just doesn't feel right.CFFJR wrote:As others have said, I think you just need a break. Don't force it if you're not interested. Put down the controller and go read a book or two, or whatever your other interests might be. If you don't have any other interests, then cultivate a new one, or get that chick you like to go on a date with you.![]()
It might take a week, it might take a month, but sooner or later you'll be feeling fine about your games again.
I'm honestly doing the same thing right now. Aside from playing a demo the other night, I haven't touched my games in nearly a month. It was building all through December as I played less and less, and I'm off games entirely right now. Its happened before, it'll happen again.
I have had one of these phases before, where I honestly thought I could just be done with it and then something else sparked my interest. I guess I'm waiting for that to happen again. It's good to know I'm not the only one who feels this way though.
