Favorite hub worlds?

Anything that is gaming related that doesn't fit well anywhere else

btw the worse hub world I can remember was in Sonic Advance 3....it was such a pain to enter the acts....

The Sly Cooper games I think handled this really well. Also the Ratchet and Clank series. The hub worlds in those games felt like a natural extension of the games' world.

The one in gauntlet legends. I don't recall what it was called.

Elaborating on my previous post, I think that Toad Town in Paper Mario perfectly inspires the "go out and explore" mentality.

I would consider SMB3's a primitive hub world and not a map. It had more than just a map, it had things that you had to go in if you went by (hammer bros.) and there was a little free roam area with the boat.

Delfino Plaza was great!

Jak II and III. Practically the whole game was a hub world.
