Anyone here not a fan of sports?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I don't like to watch sports that much. I never understood the team loyalty that the fans have. How can you get the least bit emotionally invested in a national sports team unless you know a team member or you are on the team yourself? I love the Olympics though. Something about a global sports event of that magnitude is just awe-inspiring.

I do like watching the redwings, and some UFC, but i could care less about football, baseball, and basketball. I don't give anyone crap if they don't want to watch hockey, it would seem pretty stupid to do that.

Many could say the same for the Die Hard Sega, Nintendo, or Playstaion fans..
I can say here in the Cleveland area, the sports teams are like a branch of our community. You care if the schools do well, you care if the neighborhood looks nice and prospers and that's how I feel about sports.

I like the Olympics, and I watch the Super Bowl every year because one of my friends has a party. I used to go to Clemson games back when I was in college...and that's about it. I don't keep up with sports otherwise. I just don't understand the intense appeal people have for it.

Oh well, most people don't understand my obsession with tracking down old comic books either.
Comics, RPG's, miniatures, and now retrogaming? I guess its time to learn to go without eating...

I am a huge sports fan and comic book dude too... I get hit by both communities. My "sport" friends think my comic book side is geeky, and my "comic" friends think my sports side is insane... I cant win.

Hockey and Sumo, that's about it for me. Everything else just seems ho-hum to watch on TV.

I have never been much of a fan of sports in general. I used to watch a lot of baseball growing up, but now a days I'm lucky if I catch more than 3 games a year.

I'm not a real fan of any sport, although I watched Olympic swimming a bit.

I'm just not enthused by sports. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Then again, I don;t see a difference between a guy who can name the entire starting line up of the Dallas Cowboys for the past 20 years and the guy who can name every single person who's ever been an Avenger, either. Society seems to, though :)

Give me a PM sometime if you want to talk comics.
