MY PS3 gathers dust. My gaming gets done on my 360. The PS3 is great if all you want it for is a Bluray/media player but you can get much cheaper bluray players now. In fact you could get a slingbox and bluray player for the same price as a PS3, hell you might even be able to squeeze in a 360 with a bit extra cash.

I state my opinions on the value of the PS3 on this thread http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... =26&t=8886

Personally I think the PS3's days are numbered.

Honestly it comes down to which system has the exclusives you want. Most of the Xbox exclusives are things I'm not interested in, which meant that I never ended up getting an Xbox until a short while ago (managed to get a good deal on the unit). I prefer my shooters on a PC where they belong, which is a large piece of the exclusives for the Xbox. The only games I own for it are three RPGs and Banjo Kazooie (and the last one I only got due to being part of a charity auction). So take inventory of all the games you would want on the Xbox and see if it's worth it to you.

I had both until my 360 died on me a 2nd time (DVD drive died on the refurb they sent me and they told me it would be $100 to fix it).

I have to honestly say that I didn't see much point in owning both of them (at least at that time) as most of all of the high profile stuff was either multi-platform or 360 exclusive. I love my PS3, don't get me wrong, but if I was choosing one or the other right now, it would be the 360.

I eventually plan to get another 360 down the road when the hardware is a little more solid. but for now, the PS3 and PC both do me fine for the current gen stuff.

I would say no, if you have that many games it shows you do like what the system has to offer, and although the 360 has some good exclusives, there are plenty of clones that allow you to experience the style of gameplay they offer (such as Dark Sector vs Gears and Haze vs Halo). I had a 360 for a long time thinking it was great then I got a PS3 and have been much more happy with it than the 360, not to mention that the 360 STILL has hardware problems with a failure rate of about 15-21% still while the PS3's failure rate lingers around 3-5%. I only had one problem that I caused myself with the 360 but I know at least 5 people that have sent theres in 2+ times. In the end do what you wanna do though, I like my PS3 and the only thing I miss about the 360 sometimes is that wonderful slaughterfest known as Deadrising.

Indeed it is and it will be glorious! The original Dead Rising also has a Wii port coming soon as well.

I've heard bad things about the Wii port of Dead Rising. But it's ok, since the Wii has Oneechanbara. And it's glorious.

The Wii Dead Rising is not good, you can't have a lots of zombies on screen at once and that defeats the purpose of playing Dead Rising,it seems like a watered down version. If you can you should get both if you can afford it,their is a lot of great games for both systems I wouldn't recommend selling a system you will probably regret it later.

noooooo! your ps3 is an amazing media center and blurays are here to stay... i dont care what ppl say. ppl like having physical media and blu ray will be around for years to come! 360's are damn dirt cheap, and can be modded no problem. i own both systems and only buy ps3 exclusives ... other than that i use my modded 360 for gaming and i love it. just dont sell yourself short and give someone a rare item such as your 60 gig ps3!
