On the right games you could get a decent match - Mario Kart and Pokémon were really the only very active ones though. After it's release Prime Hunters was a ton of fun, but it died off pretty quickly.ExedExes wrote:What you just said was a question I wanted to raise here in this very thread. I'm aware that the Nintendo Wi Fi Connection service was shuttered in May 2014. A lot of my games have this connectivity, even TouchMaster, which would have been really fun. The only problem I saw was that it only supported networks with WEP encryption, which wasn't nearly as strong as WPA or WPA2.
So to those who did have it, was it really good? Were you able to get some decent games in with folks from around the world?
The big downside of the Wifi going offline is unavailable content. The Layton games had hundreds of additional downloadable puzzles, the Pokémon games lost their GTS feature, Jam with the Band loses out of extra music tracks, the Book Collection games loses out on 30 extra books, a whole character class is now unavailable on Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon, it's kinda sad.
I just finished up G&W Gallery Advance/4. It took quite some doing. I do like the games quite a bit. I also recently finished up Metroid Zero Mission, so my GBA has been getting quite a bit of love.Game and Watch Gallery
