Meh... Nintendo. C'mon, at least try!

The new Metroid Prime looks... lame. Meh, guess it's too much to expect a new awesome Wii U Metroid game

This may be the most '90s post on this site. I love it!

90s? Surely you mean early 00s, no?

Did you ever hear of Onslaught for WiiWare? I was having total deja vu of that game when watching the preview for Nintendo's new Metroid 3DS game.

I love Metroid games in 2D or 3D. That game might be more fun to play than it was to watch, but the announcement was still a huge let down.

Not sure if I understand you correctly. But it does have an official title if that's what you meant:

PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Wait, it's being made by Next Level Games? That actually raises my hopes.

I meant in this thread. The biggest complaint I've seen against it so far is the graphics.

Street Fighter IV. I hate the character designs. They are chunky and ugly and blech. Needs better graphics. Of all the companies that attempted 3D versions of their mainstream fighters, I feel like Capcom has kinda faltered the worst. Let's ignore SamSho64...

An alternative would have been sticking with Street Fighter EX.

Can't say I was a fan of that, either.

Fragems wrote:Super Mario Kart dear god give obstacles height. Why they decided to just paint some obstacles on the ground is beyond me.

Basically, the Mode 7 field is just that, a field, and cannot have any height so they would need to use sprites. But the SNES has no scaling capabilities and it can only display a small amount of sprites at the same time so using sprites wasn't a great option hence painting them on the ground

Makes me not want to play it:

Wizardry V (FMT/SNES)

I'm surprised at this since I don't think Wizardry V is bad-looking on the SNES and while the wireframe dungeons in the FMT version are dissapointing, I don't think they look bad, either.

Space Hulk (AMI/PC)

What sucks about this one is that they made a new port of the boardgame and it looks pretty bad too. The fact that it doesn't show dice rolls and such is also a huge problem.

The fact that Space Hulk is amazingly good-looking in real life also makes this one very dissapointing.

Superfrog

There's a remake for this, but it's an aful game so I wouldn't bother XD

Still, I think something interesting about this thread is how different people perceive graphics. For example, I don't have a problem with Ultima Underworld, it's "nice retro" for me while I really can't stand blurry textures.

A game I really enjoy but wish had better graphic or at least better animations  is Ogre Battle. I think more people would be more into this gem if it had better graphics.
