You need to make sure you hang back a bit from his head and jump up each level to avoid the upside down segments.

It's not very clear that this is the issue, admittedly, and it still might not necessarily be deliberate on the game designers part, but it is a bit more consistent than it first appears.
Interesting! I definitely did not pick up on that at all.

Knowing this, I'll have to go back at some point and give it another shot. I want to be able to clear that part without all the anger.

Thanks dude!

I've only seen it being played, but the person playing had the same issue until he figured that out! There could be a bit more too it still. You seemingly can fall through parts of the body when it turns vertically too, so stay on the flat parts when he does that.

Played a bit today but I only just got to the school lol. It took a while for me to figure out where to go and what to do with the dog house key (I thought it was a puzzle derp ._.). Also I guess I'm still getting used to the controls. I keep on side-stepping instead of aiming my gun ><;
Hey chief, a couple of quick tricks:

1. Get the metal pipe as quick as possible and stop using the gun. Save the ammo for bosses.

2. If you're walking around at night, like you will be in the school, turn off the flashlight and walk if you want to avoid fights. The sound of you running attracts enemies, as does the light.

^Dang, I kind of figured but I hate using the pipe ><; I can't seem to hit any of the flying enemies with it. Didn't know about the running thing though... The manual only really mentioned how the light attracts enemies.

Haven't gotten another chance to play, but I do remember finding some books with bloody writing in them... I really hope those aren't a puzzle of some sort because it really sounded vague ._.

Final Fantasy V

I am sitting in Exdeath's castle, probably close to the end of World 2. My characters are all level 36. Galuf is long gone, but I now have Cara to take things over from where he left off. Shoat/Catoblepas/the big stoney eyeball is in my possession, as is Requiem, and I have apparently just about learned to play piano. I also have 24 out of 30 Blue Magic spells.

I also spent some time grinding out jobs:

Bartz
Mastered: Knight, Monk, Ninja, Hunter, Mystic Knight, Geomancer
Currently: Samurai

I have mastered all the jobs I really wanted to get with him, Samurai is more of a bonus. Thief would net me a higher max agility than Ninja does, but I don't really think it's worth it to get him to master it. So I think as soon as he gets through Samurai, he's going back to his base class and staying that for the rest of the game.

Lenna
Mastered: Monk, Thief, White Mage, Time Mage, Summoner, Bard
Currently: Blue Mage

She has all of the best stat-boosting jobs mastered and has access to a huge variety of magic powers. I've debated finishing out Black Mage, but I just don't think it is worth the trouble. I'm getting Blue Mage to give her greater versatility, just in case, but as she has been my primary healer, she's probably going to get White Magic and Summons and let that be that.

Cara
Mastered: Monk, Thief, White Mage, Blue Mage, Bard
Currently: Time Mage

Galuf I used to hop around a lot, hence why Cara now has fewer mastered jobs than Lenna. She has a lot more versatility than anyone else, but now I'm going to focus on a few things to finish her off. After she masters Time Mage, she's getting Summoner until she masters it so both of my casters can heal and deal damage.

Faris
Mastered: Monk, Thief, Ninja, Hunter
Currently: Knight

Faris is almost done with Knight and will then be switched to Mystic Knight. Thief took her a while to get through, and she spent some time as a Mediator so I could get !Control for my Blue Mages. This has slowed down her progress through the melee classes I wanted, but with two left and both on their final levels, hopefully she'll catch up soon.

My little warmachines just keep getting more powerful. I look forward to putting them back to their base classes and teaching my enemies new meanings for the word "pain".

So there's one other job you might want to master for your casters. Red Mage's final ability is X-Magic.

Taking a bit of a break from Chrono Trigger and starting Castlevania SOTN, will also be beating Super Metroid this summer. These are all games I can't believe I haven't beaten yet.

Yeah, but that 999 price tag really keeps me from going for it. I don't want my guys stuck using weaker black and white spells while they try to grind that mess out.

You could always give them Time or Summon while they grind it out. Or Blue, because Blue is hilariously awesome.

Only thing about X-Magic is that it doesn't work for Blue, only Black, White, Summon, and Time.

Is it any spells they have already learned from other spellcasting classes, or just those spells they have equipped?
