Then you'll have to go back one more, to the start of the Shining series itself, Shining in the Darkness.

I just also want to add that I love this forum. Its best members are a verfiable fount of video gaming knowledge (especially with regard to RPGs).

I know. I have read it is pretty short and pretty easy; so, I kind of want to play that too.

Yeah, I mean this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saiyuki:_Journey_West

Aww come on man, don't be like that d00d.
It's only because I believe he wants a life after video games, not a video game to last his entire life.

Is the SNES/PS1 version of this harder than the PSP? I didn't find it the PSP game that hard.

Dungeon crawly goodness, but then you'll want Shining the Holy Ark before you do Shining Force III.

Oh yes, definitely do Shining the Holy Ark before Shining Force III. It may not seem it initially, but they are very closely related!

If I follow the advice on this thread, I will have to spend approximately $200 before I get to play Shining Force III.

DO IT! I was just lucky to have those games purchased when the Saturn was on its way out. Brother got the the two Shining games for about $5 total.

They are both on my "want" list - Did you catch that prfsnl_gmr's 2015 Secret Santa? - and I actually owned a complete copy of Shining the Holy Ark at one point (but, like an idiot, I sold it because I thought I would never play it).

If you don't play the games on your challenge list, you don't get any closer to completing the summer challenge.

Hrm...

Mass Effect Trilogy is $9 on Amazon right now. There's a solid chance that my Summer Gaming Challenge is already over.
