So what you're telling me is that if I have a master Mystic Knight/Hunter/Ninja/Knight/Monk, I could have a guy who attacks four times with great stats and powered up weapons which negate enemy defense, protects allies, and counterattacks like a fiend?

Yes, you just may have figured out why Bartz's limit break in Dissidia is "Spell Blade Dual Wield X-Fight".

Klonoa: Door to Phantomile

Arg, I couldn't beat 6-2 again :x I got to the boss with 4 lives this time (instead of of 2), but that didn't seem to help much. The boss has three different patterns: The first one isn't too bad, but the other two are really difficult for me to handle cause enemies bounce all over the darn place. So far I haven't been able to get to the third one with a decent amount of life... Generally I can only take one or two hits at that point :l

I wish I could of tried more than once last night, but I was way too frustrated... I didn't have the patience to do it all over again. I'll keep at it for a little while longer though.

No. You have a guy who attacks 8 times with all those other bonuses. Sure, they're half power, but the defence negation means you'll do more than 4 times damage.

Wait til you figure out how many times it's possible to cast Bahamut in one turn...

I think you are all getting into why I really like Final Fantasy V. It is basically a game about inventing creative and interesting ways to break a JRPG's battle system clothed in Final Fantasy trappings.

At least now I understand people enjoy FFV for its battle engine exploitation and job system nuances. I was hoping for a decent plot, proper pacing, and characters I could care about when I played it... and I had a bad time.

Yeah, I think I'm about halfway through the game, but I can definitely see why you didn't end up getting much enjoyment if that is what you were going for. The plot really hasn't been driving any of my interest in the game. Breaking the job system is what it's apparently all about, not the story.

In terms of story...well, I'd put this one after both FFIV and FFVI and say it is easily the worst of the three mainline FF games on the Super Famicom. It's better than Mystic Quest...but that's not exactly stiff competition.

I also like the fact that it is the least self-serious of all the Final Fantasy games. That was definitely a bonus for me.

It also has the best song in any Final Fantasy (though VI has the best overall soundtrack).

I've always had a soft-spot for Final Fantasy Mystic Quest.

Did you guys hear a few months back that there was an HD Remake announced coming to PC, Android and iOS in March 2015, but it was apparently an unauthorized remake and Square Enix shut it down (apparently... since it never came out)?
