Re: Summer Games Challenge 2015
Question for those playing Earthworm Jim: Do you f'ing hate it and wish you hadn't put it on your list?
Re: Summer Games Challenge 2015
Why not pick one and just focus on it hardcore? Don't get discouraged, just give it your all. I know you can do it!BoneSnapDeez wrote:Nothing finished yet! But my progress so far.
Bonk's Adventure - I've made it about 2/3 of the way through. I wish the game had some sort of save/password feature; it seems just long enough to necessitate that sort of thing.
Castlevania - Terrible at this one. Haven't even reached the second boss yet .
Ghosts 'n Goblins - Made it to stage 5. Not bad!
Ikari Warriors - Who the hell knows, everything looks the same.
Ninja Gaiden - Made it to stage 5-3. Not bad!
OutRun - I can almost reach the third checkpoint. Not very good at this one either.
My issue is picking which one I'll be focusing on next. Every time I beat one, I sit and wonder which game should I tackle next. I'm saving Lost Levels, because it's the one game on here that I think will make me want to quit. Everything else, I can give an honest shot to.

I've been playing whatever my daughter requests. But yeah, you're right, I should wait until she goes to bed to play and focus on something 100%.Ack wrote:Why not pick one and just focus on it hardcore? Don't get discouraged, just give it your all. As for The Lost Levels... You're playing it on the SNES, right? It honestly isn't bad. It's the FDS original that's absurdly difficult. Oh, and don't take any warp zones to assure you experience the insanity that is World 9.

You're not making me look forward to this. I'm thinking Indiana Jones or System Shock 2 next...though I am starting to get pumped for Final Fantasy V.

If you're playing Lost Levels on SNES, I think it won't be too bad at all. I'm not that great at Mario and I got through it OK. The SNES version saves after each level, so it's not too frustrating. I'd be willing to bet Dracula X was harder.Ack wrote: Why not pick one and just focus on it hardcore? Don't get discouraged, just give it your all. I know you can do it!

That said, I adore FFV, so you should play that too XD

Not at all. In fact, I loved it so much it now counts among my favorite games. I've been resisting the urge to go play it again rather than focusing on other games.noiseredux wrote:Question for those playing Earthworm Jim: Do you f'ing hate it and wish you hadn't put it on your list?
It has sparked something of an Earthworm Jim obsession for me.
I'll be picking up the comic books at some point as well.

There's a reason that first game is 666, 666. And a reason Rockstar offered a free pager with it.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.
