I have 850W myself. Purchased it in 2010 along with a frist gen i7 and a high end AMD card.

also, Caster made a good point. It's possible that your CPU is getting too hot. Download Speccy or something to monitor the CPU, launch the game and see what happens. Really if you're doing any modern gaming on PC you should be using an aftermarket cooler.
I'm pretty sure that the CM Hyper EVO 212 supports AMD sockets, but I'm not 100% certain it fits whatever you've got. But if it does, it's definitely my recommendation.

thanks everyone, it's definitely appreciated.
I shoulda came here first instead of reddit, not that they pointed me in the wrong direction, but you all were more thorough. Will pick up higher PSU, an aftermarket cooler, and then spring for that GTX 970. Thanks again guys.
P.S. noise, that cooler you referenced is compatible with my LGA1150 socket.

Re: Dragon Age Inquistition issues...(heavy sigh)
awesome, it is a great cooler and really priced well.
Re: Dragon Age Inquistition issues...(heavy sigh)
awesome. Just scored a Corsair TX650 for less than $35 shipped on ebay, and just ordered that cooler. Will double check my drivers over the week that they are UTD, and will trouble shoot after the new PSU and cooler are installed and post back in case I'm still at square one.
With the extra items needed, anyone wanna help by buying a Legend of Oasis manual and/or Fragile Dreams BNIP for Wii?
P.S. If I sprang for a R9 290 instead of 970, do you think I'd be OK with the 650 PSU? If not, I'll spend the extra coin for a 970 since power consumption is much lower. Thoughts?

Re: Dragon Age Inquistition issues...(heavy sigh)
new PSU installed, made no difference in being able to load DAI
The Aftermarket cooler arrived too, but I made the rookie mistake of not measuring my case first to see if it would fit, and, sadly it doesn't by about 3/8". Oh well, I did want a new case anyway that has cable shielding for cable management.
Although I tried to install and power up, it wouldn't. I thought I damaged my mobo, but fortunately I didn't. I thought the posts that the cooler sits on had broken one of the circuits from spinning when I was tightening the nut/post, but it was just residue ( whew) I just figured out that I probably just had the front panel wired wrong hence no power. I don't want to/have time to take my PC apart and test again ATM, but will tackle when I get a case in the next few weeks.
BTW, compromised on a newer card for the moment. Picked up a 3 GB XFX 280A for $130 practically new today, so anxious to install.
Any recommendations on a new case that will fit the cooler with an H81M E33 mobo?

well, one larger PSU and an aftermarket cooler later, this thing still will not run. I'm at a complete loss. I still stutters and crawls just to get the EA logo screen with the storm clouds. I guess I'll have to wait to see if a patch/optimized build gets released. Until then, i'm hella bummed...

Then something must be wrong physically with your components. Have you messed around with other games?
Re: Dragon Age Inquistition issues...(heavy sigh)
messed around? Yes. All my other games run just fine. Was playing some AC4 and Witcher 3 last night.

this is really weird... give us the update on the full specs of your build now?
