I think I rolled with Shulk, Sharla, and Melia. I did use a lot of the other folks, though, just to get friendships up and whatnot. I never did 100% the game, but I got enough of the content done that I'm satisfied. And I did all the timed quests.

It was a great game, although I liked The Last Story even better.

What I played of Last Story seemed horribly generic... but I've been wanting to check it out again since I hear it's not that long.

It was no Lost Odyssey from what I could tell. Now that one rocked. I wish Mistwalker were doing more than mobile right now.

I just started up Xenoblade the other night, then forgot about it last night.

I think it will take a bit of getting used to. It feels like it wants to be an action game as i'll hit the buttons, then nothing happens, as it's turn based and it kind of messes with me. Also it's weird getting a quest in that first town, doing it, then going back where that chick was (the watch) and her being gone. It doesn't make me much want to do little helper chores if people just walk off. I left it where I need to go out of town to get a fuel cell or something of the sort. It's a nice looking game, interesting choice of british sounding accents too.

The people have different routines and appear in different places at different times. It can be a pain finding them again sometimes.

The British accents make sense when you remember that it was the European Nintendo team that localised it. I don't think there's anything 'interesting' about it though, any more than if they had used American accents. It's a nice change though.

People should know the guy who voiced Dunban in Japanese is Vegeta. I played it in Japanese and it was awesome, hope we see that option again. Shulk's British voice sounded outright hilarious.

Hmm I think today or around today was the supposed day those Shulk amiibo toys return to gamestop. I wonder if it did and if all the shitheels scalped them up again to triple their money. :( I want it for the game on 3DS.

Now what would have made it interesting would have been a range of stereotypical European accents. Think Melia with a French accent, and Rayn with a Scottish one. ooh and Ricci with an Italian one xD.

I felt they were going for a Tintin vibe, which honestly I much prefer for a young JRPG hero. It's somewhere in the middle of Japanese goofball anime protagonist and the typical western representation of a male hero.

I just picked up, finally, the Mario Kart DLC bundle which is pretty outstanding for the price. I also picked up the Smash Bros Gamecube controller which I have no intention of ever using on the Wii U. Getting a brand new Gamecube controller is great! Now I need to pick up Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, and Pikmin 3 and I'll be set for a while. Dang hard to find Pikmin 3.

Okay, seeing Best Buy will have a Splatoon console bundle. Has me tempted.

Are Nintendo consoles bundled w games these days digital DL copies of game?
