I am so glad someone recommended this! I absolutely LOVE this game series. The weird baseball life sim is a blast. I played it on the Wii and the motion controls worked wonderfully (and are optional) and offered a lot of depth to a visually basic game. When the thread was revived I was reading going, "Please someone recommend this. Why is no one recommending this?"Exhuminator wrote:I think "MLB Life" mode in this counts:

The question then becomes why didn't BogusMeatFactory recommend this first thenBogusMeatFactory wrote:"Please someone recommend this. Why is no one recommending this?"
I've personally accepted I will never complete the backlog I already have, and yet I continue to buy more crap every week. I mean I can quit whenever I want. Right? RIGHT?!Sarge wrote:I mean, c'mon, my backlog is huge! Cut a guy some slack!

Of course I can! Right after I snag Rainbow Curse and Treasure Tracker. And of course Zelda when it comes out. And anything else that piques my interest that I still won't have time for! Bring on the games!!!Exhuminator wrote: I've personally accepted I will never complete the backlog I already have, and yet I continue to buy more crap every week. I mean I can quit whenever I want. Yeah, I've accepted the fact that I own games that I may never, ever revisit. But then, I can just call it "collecting", or "having options", and it's okay! Right? Right.
Re: What are the best sport rpgs?
That may be the only mlb game i might consider getting(though probably not the wii version, I kinda like the idea of the nds or ps2 versions)...don't know why but most just sound like "eh same thing just different players and year", and casino kid sounds interesting too. Not to mention since racing does count as a sport(sorta) I did find out about ChoroQ which sounds interesting enough too. Think I'll create or add to a list on the first page, don't know why but this still seems like a interesting mix of genre's to jump into(especially since there's not many games that try to gamble with the combinations it seems)BogusMeatFactory wrote:I am so glad someone recommended this! Re: What are the best sport rpgs?
Missed this the first time through. For retro consoles (most current gen games have a rpg-ish My Player or "The Life" type modes):
I haven't played the GBC versions but the GBA Mario Tennis and Golf game are prime examples.
MLB Power Pros is a nice pick (I totally forgot this came out for the DS - I need the portable version now). I have never played that mode.
Inazuma 11 is probably the most renowned.
Tecmo Cup Soccer on the NES is another good choice.

Yeah I'm just not going to get the american version if i can help it, would be nice if there was a translation patch for the japanese cart because I'm half tempted to get that instead because the american version looks awful with how they did it. I'd rather see captain than that o_O

I feel obliged to mention Super Dodge Ball Advance (I think it counts as a sport rpg). It's one of my 1st and favorite GBA games.
...just another lost soul...
