^ I'm interested in your thoughts on the WiiWare Excite Bike game they're offering for 250 coins. Seemed to get very good reviews.

Re: Club Nintendo is Being Replaced
I got Animal Crossing for my Plat reward, since I wasn't sure if I'd like it (didn't like the original too much), and it turns out that I actually kind of like it so far! Unfortunately I think I like it a little too much since I keep on wanting to play it but I don't have anything to do in it right now haha.
Now I just have to figure out what to do with 245 coins ._.

Re: Club Nintendo is Being Replaced
Despite Nintendo of Australia confirming we would be getting downloadable titles added to Club Nintendo....still nothing
Re: Club Nintendo is Being Replaced
I probably played this more than any other download Wii title. It's a ton of fun. Read Nintendo Life's review, they really nailed it well. Easily one of the top five WiiWare titles.retrosportsgamer wrote:^ I'm interested in your thoughts on the WiiWare Excite Bike game they're offering for 250 coins. Seemed to get very good reviews.

got mine too, wish they would have done it in gold so it would have stand out more, but oh well. I will just hang it with my other club Nintendo bag.Ghudda wrote:Got my MM Messenger Bag today. Image design came out better than I thought but I can't say I appreciate the glitter, which is going to get all over the place. I never really had intentions on using it as a bag so it'll probably just hang in the closet until the end of time.

Thanks for the heads up and the review link! Played the Excite truck games on the Wii and like the original NES version. Might have to snag it. Oooh, Track Editor and NES style controller I am in!irixith wrote:I probably played this more than any other download Wii title. It's a ton of fun. I downloaded four games to SD Card last night mentioned on the previous page and tried them out. I like Fluidity the best, a "PSP Loco Roco" style of play.

Fluidity was one of the best surprises I found on Wii - it's a really good game, with cool mini-game challenges that can be unlocked for each level and a lot of secrets and hidden things to uncover. The game was so creative that it never stopped being fun. (One complaint: the "waggle to jump" would have been better as a button press.) Glad to see others enjoying the game too!
Re: Club Nintendo is Being Replaced
Agree, the jump could have been the one of the buttons, a pain jerking up the Wiimote to make the water splash up to a high platform or grab a puzzle or rainbow prize. Still, definitely worth getting, looks like there is a 3DS version as well.ejamer wrote:Fluidity was one of the best surprises I found on Wii - it's a really good game, with cool mini-game challenges that can be unlocked for each level and a lot of secrets and hidden things to uncover. Anyone play Grill Off Hand? I got it due to Club Nintendo exclusive and the Nintendo history of the Ultra Hand toy. That game is hard, I have yet figured out how to turn or pull the meat over on the grill.

I "bought" my final prizes with 30 coins left over. Two more games, Excitebike World Rally (thanks retrosportsgamer and irixith) and Cubello.

Re: Club Nintendo is Being Replaced
I ended up grabbing Doc Louis Punchout (and even played it today!), leaving myself 30 points left over. I couldn't pass up a unique tie-in like this that was never available for purchase.
That said, and I may start a new thread but Nintendo is still charging 1000 points ($10) for these main WiiWare titles like ExciteBike. Man, why not cut stuff in half for those still interested in the console?

Re: Club Nintendo is Being Replaced
That is pricey considering many Wii disc games can now be bought for under five bucks. Fortunately (so far) the Wii console is supported to still allow buying the WiiWare games, shame that is none of the few Wii online options left.retrosportsgamer wrote:I ended up grabbing Doc Louis Punchout (and even played it today!), leaving myself 30 points left over. I have a slim hope that more of the download only games be released on disc such as the Bit Trip series and Tetris Party Deluxe. Right now the Nintendo Shop has 48 Wii demos offered for free download (have 52). A few of the game demos are well done; very tempting to buy the full versions.
