First and foremost that means many of us work full time jobs for a living, which easily eats most of our daily hours away. That also means we live in our own homes, which require copious hours spent on housekeeping, chores, shopping and the like. That alone is a huge time investment. And I've also noticed many of this forum's members are married, or married with kids. Maintaining a healthy relationship and being a proper parent takes up a significant amount of time as well. Some of us actually try to have a social life, and a lot of us have other free time interests outside gaming. With all of these factors in consideration, it really goes to show how dedicated a lot of us are that even as responsible adults we still find time for our gaming endeavors.
I am hoping in this thread to discuss our own personal tricks and sacrifices we make to find time for gaming. Perhaps some of us will learn ways to squeeze in a bit more play time, or conversely realize maybe we play a little too much at the expense of more important things. However I for one am also interested in hearing how the younger members around here make time for gaming as well, be they high school or college students. Even at that age there are many distractions from gaming which have to be put aside to indulge in some pixel lovin'.
Lastly I have included an anonymous poll about how old each voting member is. I have done this because it will be an interesting counterpart to go along with this thread's concept. I am not asking anyone to outright come out and say how old they are though, unless they simply wish to (I just turned 36). I will come back later to post my own methods of being a grown up and also a gamer, but I actually have to get back to work now.
Disclaimer: I know as old as this forum itself is, this topic has likely been done before (as has probably everything else), but it's always interesting to revisit a previous discussion in order to gain new insights from existing members or fresh ideas from members who weren't around before.
