Noise, I was doing some research regarding the iPega and it seems that there are two versions. Apparently, version 2 corrects a lot of the issues including connectivity problems. You can tell if you have a version 2 by the red plastic inside the analog sticks.

hmm, interesting. I feel like mine has red sticks, but I'll double check later. Either way, keeping mine connected and working was far too frustrating for me to consider it a reliable way to play games. If I do have the faulty version, I'm not sure I'd make the effort to seek out the revision though. I guess I'll see how it goes w/ the Xbox One solution. Though again, the Ipega offered the ability to play in portrait mode which is really cool.

It seems that V2 of the iPega allows you to connect the controller to your device via USB so you get a stable connection.

now THAT is interesting.

I better check mine to make sure it's not a V2. I mean, if it is then I could always stop bothering w/ the bluetooth altogether and then keep the Ipega around for TATE shmups & pinball.

That's what I was thinking as well. I'd keep the Nyko clip for Steam since you can't beat Xbox One controller compatibility with Windows. However, I'd still love the ipega for exactly as you said. The portrait capability of the ipega is extremely appealing. I'd love to see how it would work for DS emulation as well.

Noise, if you don't mind me asking where did you order your controller from? I'm trying to find a US seller since the freebie shipping most of these places offer from China takes FOREVER.

it was an eBay seller. I just searched for any of them shipping from US. The one I got came from California if I recall.

Ok, so here's what I bought:

Nyko Smartclip for Xbox One controller - $9
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-text-_-

retractalbe Micro USB cable - $5
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-text-_-

Micro USB OTG adapter - $4
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-text-_-

And now I've got the tablet clipped on to a controller and wired. Works fine.
