I love games like Aerobiz. Pretty dry but I like sims like that.

Hold on tight.......Sonic R.

Seriously....Sonic Mutha Fucking R. Sonic R is the showcase for the argument that a game is only good if you know how to play it. Want to master Sonic R? Don't use the direction pad...ever. To turn, use the R and L buttons and the game becomes infinitely easier and more enjoyable. I've 100%ed the game and didn't find it to be a complete chore.

Other games I love that everyone else doesn't. I could list every FMV game ever made for that, as a huge portion of gamers don't appreciate them for what they really are...complete schlock. We can watch a movie that is horrifically bad, but good intentioned and make it a fun experience and I do the same for FMV games.

If you judge some of the bigger voices here on the forums also, don't like Myst games or Shenmue...because for some reason they are garbage? I don't think so... but I feel like my opinion is becoming more and more a minority.

Pac-Man and ET on Atari 2600.

I don't love 'em but they're perfectly serviceable, feel like typical "Atari games", and are about 100 times better than some of the nightmarish third party creations available on the system.

I'm with you! I love me some FMV cheeze. I also like when FMV is actually good too, such as Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within. For some reason I'm a sucker for grainy compressed video from the 90s.

I like some FMV cheeze. Plumbers Don't Wear Ties, for instance, is pure 90s schlock. Love it.

But other "games" make me cringe. Like those Sega CD Make My Video titles. Those are just grating and terrible.

I enjoy them grainy or not. A lot of the rough Sega CD games were re-released on PC uncompressed and it still is delightfully bad!

Speaking of which, I totally need to upload footage of the game, "Space Pirates." Honestly the best FMV on-rails shooting gallery game of all time.

Also, absolutely on Gabriel Knight 2, what a great game. I need to revisit it to see how it holds up. Time to dig out my discs!

I also highly recommend Ripper. The game is abhorrently bad and nonsensical, but it is an FMV game that stars Marion from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Paul Giamatti AND Christopher Walken as a no-nonsense bad-cop who needs to shove cigars phallically in his mouth at the end of every scene.

I seriously forgot to put this one on mine. I absolutely love Sonic R. At first I hated it, but after I learned how to play it, I 100%ed the sucker. It's definitely a, "Hard to play; easy to master" type game (and yeah; I made that term up myself lol).
This user really likes SEGA Saturn. Avoid at all costs.

I'm curious; what did you enjoy more? The FMV sequel or the first game with it's hand-drawn sprites?

Also, second on Sonic R. I grew up with it and the game doesn't bother me at all... I even like the music.

All the Gabriel Knight games are available on GOG now. I would go that route for playing them personally.

Gunman Chronicles is a game I enjoyed that I've never read anyone else on the internet so much as even speak about. It's cheesy in a 1950's comic books kind of way. Space cowboys, dinosaurs, rogue AI, aliens, the works. It uses Half-Life's engine but the game itself is totally unique. My favorite thing is how it allows you to practically design your own weapons in game. Very underrated and forgotten classic in my book.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.
