yep. It sucks. BUT, at the same time I can't help but think it's getting delayed because they're actually trying to make all the new features really good on launch. So if they need more time, so be it.

I was a lot more antsy when it got delayed from January, because that had been the first game I really wanted to play of 2015. But at this point, I've got other games out and coming out in the meantime to keep me busy.

Though I must admit that having the strategy guide sitting on my table is kind of taunting me. :?

Hmm, Hotline Miami 2 was refused classification in Australia. Dennaton Games refuses to contest the ruling and is suggesting that Australians pirate the game as a result.

Batman: Arkham Knight
The next Final Fantasy - Mainstay series for me
Star Fox

Cautiously optimistic:
Hotline Miami 2

That's about it. I'm far less focused on gaming these days with interesting developments in my work and personal life, so I don't know too much about other releases

This is a big month for me.

First coming up is Final Fantasy Type-0 HD for the PS4, coming out March 17th. I've got a pre-order set for the collectors edition. I was pretty bummed when this game was originally PSP exclusive and it looked like it was never coming to the US. But after a very long wait I think it's gonna be worth it. I've intentionally avoiding getting too much info on this, as I want to be pleasantly surprised. I've only learned enough to know that the combat looks cool, the setting looks interesting, and apparently reviews and general public opinion on the original PSP version have been very positive from every source I've seen. Also I'm very excited to play the Final Fantasy 15 demo that it's going to have.

Next is Bloodborne on the PS4, coming March 24th. There's no single game I'm more excited for than this. Everything looks to be a step up from the previous games Fromsoft came out with last generation. The Victorian/gothic theme being my favorite change. Again, I've got a pre-order set for the collectors edition. Gotta get that art book. Also after this and FFType-0 my PS4 collection will rise to a massive total of... three games! Oh well, quality over quantity.

Lastly, on PC and coming March 26th, is Pillars of Eternity. This one I won't be pre-ordering. I have a very strict rule when it comes to PC games, that I don't buy them unless they're on a decent sale to help save money. Every PC game these days inevitably goes on sale at some point, and there's no physical swag for the collectors edition to make it one of those "buy it now or pay WAY more later down the line when you can only find it on Ebay" situations. So this one will be sitting in the wishlist for a while. Nonetheless, I'm very excited for the game, it looks like a good modern take on the classic cRPG formula from everything I've seen, so I expect it'll be a lot of fun.
I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.

Wofenstein: The Old Blood
Image
"The year is 1946 and the Nazis are on the brink of winning World War II. In an effort to turn the tide in the Allies’ favour, B.J. Blazkowicz must embark on an epic, two-part mission deep within Bavaria. Part one of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood—Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves—pits BJ Blazkowicz against a maniacal prison warden as he breaks into Castle Wolfenstein in an attempt to steal the coordinates to General Deathshead’s compound. In part two—The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs—our hero's search for the coordinates leads him to the city of Wulfburg where an obsessed Nazi archaeologist is exhuming mysterious artefacts that threaten to unleash a dark and ancient power."

Metal Gear Solid V
Based on trailers, previews, and the demo, this one's gonna be something great. I can't wait to Big Boss finally go insane or whatever turns him into the guy he is in the Metal Gear games.

Kojima's saying this is his last MGS again... we'll see how that goes.

Cyberpunk 2077
One trailer shouldn't have gotten me so pumped for a game, but as a lover of Blade Runner, Deus Ex, and everything else cyberpunk, I can't help it. Hopefully it does come out this year.

Doom 4
I love Doom, and have for a very long time. Just recently I got into Brutal Doom, which only rekindled my interest in the series. They say Doom 4 is supposed to be somewhat of a return to what made Doom so good in the first place, as opposed to what Doom 3 did.

PT, or Silent Hill, or whatever they're calling it
I loved the demo they put out on PS4, even if it was just running through an L-shaped hallway like 25 times. I'm normally not that into horror stuff, but the weirdness and unpredictability of the game really grabbed my attention.

Final Fantasy XV
This is the first time I've been interested in an FF game since IX. It looks rather fresh and unique compared to the PS2 and 3 games, so I remain cautiously hopeful.

Shenmue 3, Half Life 3, Fallout 4, etc.
You know the drill.

Same. And if you are looking for something to scratch the itch, check out the recent Shadowrun games.

...so make a solid gameplay experience as opposed to an interactive piece of software to show off a lighting engine?

I kid, I kid...a little. I appreciated Doom 3 for being great under the hood, thanks to Carmack, but I missed the quality gameplay that Romero had always brought to the table when he was there too. Now with neither Carmack or Romero, I'm worried. But that won't stop me for dropping money just because Doom is in the name, and I want to support it if only out of loving nostalgia.

I think all I'm looking forward to immediately is Witcher 3, but that has a lot to do with the fact that I'm playing SO MANY GAMES RIGHT NOW it's kinda hard to think about new releases. US release for Black Desert Online and the FF14 expansion are on my radar as well.

As much as I wish I was looking forward to FF15, I'm just not. Hopefully that'll change after release.

E3 Should be interesting anyway.

This is a really interesting looking psychological horror game coming out soon. It promises to scare with no blood, no gore, and no jump scares. Those are interesting self-imposed limitations for a horror game and I'm interested in seeing what ways they screw with your mind to make your nerves jangle.
