2015: The thread of the anticipation of the games!

Post by noiseredux »

So, what games are y'all looking forward to this year? I'm having trouble even thinking of stuff that's been announced. I'm actually looking forward to playing GTA5 on PC later this month. And I know Banner Saga 2 was announced. But uh, what else looks good and is planned for this year?

Polygon has a really nice round-up of 100 games coming out this year: http://www.polygon.com/2015/1/1/7362913 ... 15-preview

I am fairly certain I will purchase the following before the end of 2015:

Xenoblade Chronicles X (still gotta get a WiiU)
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
Final Fantasy XV (I don't think it has a release date but I'd be surprised if it wasn't out by the end of the year)
Mortal Kombat X
Tekken 7
Ori and the Blind Forest
King's Quest
Killer Instinct Season 3 (just assuming there will be one)

Which is a lot of new games for me. I'm usually in the 3-5 range per year for new releases.

Until Dawn is the only game I can think of right now that is a console exclusive I'm pissed about.

From everything I've seen, I'd bet you'd like The Order, too. It, Homeworld, and FF Type-O HD are the only 2015 games I presently have preordered (because I like their CE sets).

Everyone's Gone to the Rapture has had me pumped for a long time, and it is an PS4 exclusive. I think Bloodborne is a PS4 exclusive too, and that looks ace. Uncharted 4 may be out this year. Quantum Break and the new TR (and Halo 5, natch) are One exclusives of potential interest...

Of course there's a slate of console exclusive Nintendo stuff, too...

The Order I can't seem to get hyped about at all. What makes you think I'd enjoy it?

Evolve I'm on the fence. Could be awesome or not.

I get a strong Gothic Horror vibe from it. Seems like a great "month of horror" title, for example.

Evolve is also on PC. I didn't like the beta on that one. Did you play it?
