Anyone know what causes these dings on their part? Are they using a resurfacing machine on them or something?

Could be from the console being bumped while the disc is spinning inside it.Ghudda wrote:Anyone know what causes these dings on their part?
Interesting, it is just specifically notorious for GF's used games. I've never purchased a game elsewhere and had those strange dings. Not sure what it is.Exhuminator wrote: Could be from the console being bumped while the disc is spinning inside it.
That's pretty scary (moreso for possible system damage). I did get a cracked Simpsons movie Blu-Ray from Netflix a few years ago.Exhuminator wrote:I have no idea either, just a shot in the dark thought.

Perhaps these nicks have to do with something the post office is doing to them as they ship around in paper envelopes? I agree with the user in that thread that said the nicks could lead to cracks that could shatter the discs inside a drive. Centrifugal forces being as they are.
