If you've played through the PS1 version you should have no issues getting through it even if it is in Japanese.

I played it though having not played the ps1 version, it's a little tricky but very doable. The only real problem I had was knowing what new abilities were when I got them. But it is very much playable, I actually prefer using the saturn pad for the game.

No clue how expensive but I played through the JP PS1 version long, long ago before my Japanese was even decent.
And the title isn't just Dracula X... Akumajo Dracula X: Gekka no Yasokyoku is the romanized title. You'd probably be fine looking for "Symphony of the Night Saturn version" or something like that.
Good luck~

I wrote a Saturn port guide for this game if you want additional technical information on what's different.

Here's my post with a link to my FAQ.

Aren't the secret levels and areas mostly incomplete for the Sega Saturn? Isn't that why they weren't included in the PSX ports?

Interesting quote from the September 1998 issue of EGM which I was just reading this morning...

I their review of Dracula X they said, "So is there anything bad about this game? Well, for one, most of the transparencies are either totally gone or just look really bad. Also, there's a bit of slowdown now and then that gets really annoying."

That was pretty much the bad, the rest was good.

The were completed for the Saturn release, probably to make up for the fact that they ported the engine instead of doing a full re-write. Again, read the document I wrote up for more details. It doesn't go into content changes but it does delve into speculation about the mechanics and implications of the port.
