Not so much on Other M
I debated the Kirby/Mario/ Data East/etc. collections, but I think I prefer those games on their original hardware or MAME in most instances
Personally, I don't feel they hold up now, but especially not 10 years from now. At that point, we'll have whatever Zelda Wii U turned out to be, and whatever happens in the franchise on the next piece of Nintendo hardware. I think these two games will be looked back on with some fondness, but will ultimately be footnotes in the franchise history rather than stand-out must have in your library kind of games.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Good lists so far. No Zelda mentions yet though? Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword are both essential.
Well it is a weird "Part 2" as it is the same as "Part 1" but with two more games: Radirgy Noa and Illvelo.BoneSnapDeez wrote:

I'm wavering on whether or not DKCR would be in my Wii library. It's a good game, but the waggle actually interferes with the precision at times, and the 3DS port made some very small changes that made it a much more accessible/playable game. (My personal preference over all gives it to the 3DS version.) HOWEVER, that being said, I also own Tropical Freeze on the Wii U, and much like Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, DKC:TF improves upon DKCR so much that my future library would give it up to DKC:TF instead.Sload Soap wrote:Donkey Kong Country Returns. I know there's a 3DS port of the latter but I'd rather play a game like that on a big screen, waggle and all.

Well DKCR definitely deserves a place in mine even if it is 2d with 3d graphics(I'm too stuck on the fact we'll never get a true sequel that would improve upon dk64). But if we're going to include those titles then jet rocket would go up on mine. It's a really really nice 3d platformer(which I'm a sucker for) and for what I recall paying for it, and what I've played of it, that one is worth every penny. I'll have to try and transfer it over to my u so I don't get in trouble for trying to hog the wii(even if it's the one that's backwards compatible with gamecube, and so what if I own a gcn too...)irixith wrote:Now if WiiWare titles can factor in, I'd put Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth, Contra: ReBirth, Excitebike: World Rally, Gradius: ReBirth, LostWinds & Tetris Party up for consideration, as the only WiiWare titles to earn a permanent place on my Wii Menu. There are other excellent WiiWare games, but I've enjoyed them more on other platforms. Maybe WiiWare needs to be an additional list.
