The amount of cheap deaths within the game is bad/great/. This is a game you need to memorize to beat. And it's not like Ninja Gaiden where you can run n gun if you know what's next, as Contra 4 requires tactical pacing. It's a challenge for sure, but I'm enjoying it.
Looks (assumptions a plenty) like the game plus the unlockables makes this a must own for the DS.
But yeah. Hard as nails.
Oh, and turn "voice" off. Contra does not require catch phrases.
