Deals are relative to area entirely. The internet is a wash short of a lucky bought it in under a minute of hitting ebay low BIN. I know this all too well because in CA I could go out every single Sunday and I'd take a $20 bill with me and come back with stuff, as time went along less stuff due to greed, but stuff I did get and it was there. Moving back here to where I say in KY, games at flea markets aren't normal, at least stuff from the pre-disc era aside from N64 dirt commons and first party stuff they all know to ask too much on because it's Mario or Zelda. Even that junk isn't weekly, maybe once if lucky twice a month. This is vintage goods and antiques area, not games, and out west the whole 3 years I bumped into the goods/antiques like 2-3x and that's all that wasn't rotted junk.
Everything is relative to location so it kind of gets old hearing people, just be persistent. That makes no sense if you go every week and persistently find nothing but random stuff and usually nothing worth buying when it does as it's either common, garbage condition, or first party idiot pricing. I know from being on NA if you live in CA, TX, NC, and OK(city) area you'll find a larger frequency of the goods, and some other states rarely if ever came up.
How's your NES gaming going? What's your NES library like?

Where I live in Worcester ma, there is only one place to find games and its at Thats entertainment. There decent in prices usually they do price charts prices, but other than that, the resellers are all over the savers, goodwill and other thrift shops. I never find anything anymore here and I have looked. It sucks now that I can't find games anymore like I used to.

I say in about 10 or so years we will start to see prices drop when our generation starts going through divorces

Does anybody think prices are either going to drop or just flatten out over the next few years or is it just going to keep rising? And I'm talking about all retro/video games in general.
I'll tell you one thing, since the ps1 turned 20, I think people are going to look into the ps1 library a little bit more and prices are going to jump on that

They will continue to rise in nominal terms, but they will continue to decline in real terms.mas wrote:Does anybody think prices are either going to drop or just flatten out over the next few years or is it just going to keep rising? And I'm talking about all retro/video games in general.

Maybe if OPEC increases old video game production to undermine American Mom-and-Pop resellers operating on a razor thin margin, we'll see an overall decrease in nominal pricing.

Geez, I had to show my wife a game and now she wants it.
So her and I was on YouTube and we had the bubble bobble theme in our head for days. So I went on eBay and she seen bubble bobble 2. I showed her video, and now she wants the game. I wonder if there are bootlegs for that game. And yeah she knows it cost around 300 dollars

Well do you own Bubble Bobble 1? Definitely get that. Rainbow Islands, which is something of a sequel/spin-off, is also a great choice.
