I got excited, and when the Falcon showed up, i really expected to hear Han Solo for a bit.

I don't like the fact that Disney cut the EU out but take a lightsaber design from the EU. I've seen the cross looking saber before. Since the EU is huge I can't quite remember where exactly.

But still...

Oh...the voice in the trailer? Benedict Cumberbatch. Calling it!

If I had to guess it is Max von Sydow.

All of you hating on the prequels are seeing the original movies through massive nostalgia glasses.

That said, it looks like this movie is trying to have effective stormtroopers; the one scene is reminiscent of the kind of lock and load you see on spec ops in movies.

The actors man! Nothing magical about the cast behind the prequels. Harrison Ford alone pretty much destroys the whole roster.

Look, we can all agree that Harrison Ford makes everything better.

I didn't hate the trailer but I felt nothing. No disappointment or excitement. It seemed like a bunch of random unrelated concepts, but there was nothing there to make me care about any of those concepts.

Impressive CGI, but what isn't these days? It was a little too "sterile" maybe, kind of like J.J. Abram's Star Trek. Even the worn out stuff was really shiny.

My bar is set pretty low for this movie since I thought the Abramsverse Star Treks were passable and awful respectively.

It's also sad to see the EU trashed even if it was silly most of the time.

I'm honestly not hard to please, but come on here, you can't look me in the eye and seriously tell me that the classic movies had anything as awful and cringey as the love scenes between Annikin and Padme in the second and third prequels.

Plus as was mentioned, the originals had Han Solo. The prequels don't have any characters half as cool as him. I mean they managed to waste Samuel L Jackson for crying out loud.
