I'm not seeing it?

I think Goof Troop is praised partly due to the fond nostalgia of people who watched the actual cartoon as a kid back in 92-93, in tandem with the co-op play. However if you're not a fan of the source material and you play it single player, Goof Troop is rather "meh".
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

I have a feeling Run Saber has a crazy price only because it's Atlus, who were known for crazy low print runs on many of their games. I liked it, average as it may be.

That's right. Just one saga a day!

It was a fair sight better than most of the other Strider followups at the time, though!

As for The 7th Saga, yeah, you can do it in a week... if you're willing to cheat. ;)

Interesting on Run Saber. Had no idea it was worth that much now. It's actually a decent game. I'm not sure how large the print run was on it, which could be influencing the value. Or it could just be that folks want Strider knockoffs.
It was featured in a gem piece, I think the same one as Hagane was by Mike Mattei, and most the games thrown into that SNES line up video, just like the NES one were picked up by all the drooling idiot fanboys and then resellers used the videos as a reason to jack up prices, and both of them circle jerked each other causing the price to shoot into the stars. A few games since that time from those movies have stayed way up, some fell off closer to where they started, but I don't recall anything going back to normal thanks to that junk which is why people tend to hate those damn youtube videos and people who make them as it makes it harder on honest players.

There is also the Atlus factor which also helps prop up Blazeon just a little over where I think it should be. Atlus fans do love their Atlus games, and their lower print runs too.

Talk about average SNES games being overpriced, but this one if you can get it at a good price is also beatable in a week -

Flinstones Treasure of Sierra Madrock -- it's averaging at $30 now?! WTF! It's by no means rare or a late release, but it's suffering that SNES game inflation value. True that it's not at the legendary NES "Dinosaur Peak" level, but this game is about as average as they come, and fast to beat.

It really depends on how much time you can play a day.
For most of the platformers, with less than 10h you can beat almost all of them.
RPGs will last from 20 to 30h, with some exceptions lasting more than 50h (wizardry series)

Some games have no end, like simcity, simulation games, simant, simearth ,civilization, powermonger and so.
Puzzle games also have no end (most of them)

Sports game also have no end, but racing games can be beat in less than 10h easily. Maybe not in the first try, but after some practice you beat them in less than 5h.

Fighting games have no end, history mode can be beat in less than 30 minutes if you are good. To beat with all characters will take you less than 10h for sure.

SO, recommendations:
If you are experienced in SNES, and already played the top 50 of the system, I recommend Blackthorne.
If you are new to the system, I recommend any of the 10 best platformers of the console. Mario, DK, Metroid, Disney games, Kirby and so. Megaman and Contra if you like to shoot.

If you will emulate and have access to hacks and translations, and want to play RPG, get Dragon Quest 1-2 or 3. SNES version is the best you can find till today. 4-5-6 I would recommend to play on Nintendo DS.

I played Blackthorne very recently, and enjoyed it. Basically a gritty Prince of Persia. The last boss was a cheap little bugger that took a bit of luck, but obviously wasn't impossible.

I think any of the trio of Blizzard games on the SNES would be fine games to take a stab at...the others being the PC ported Lost Vikings and then Rock n Roll Racing.

Blackthorne is the shit. It has the most badass protagonist too. He's the only game character that can shoot a shotgun one-handed, over his back, and without even looking.
