Home for the week of Thanksgiving and in the mood for SNES, though I don't want to leave a game hanging when I leave; it needs to be completely done!
Any grand ideas from the racketboy crowd?
(CRT is at home; at college it's an LCD so have to make to do with retro games at home!)

Anything that's not a JRPG?

Or strategy or simulation games. Beyond that, most SNES games can be beaten relatively quick.

How much time do you have during the week? If you can devote 20-30 hours you could bang out one of the great RPGs for the system:
According to HowLongToBeat.com:
Chrono Trigger ~25 hours
Earthbound = ~28 hours
Final Fantasy VI = ~30 hours
Secret of Mana = ~22 hours
Illusion of Gaia = ~15 hours
Ogre Battle = ~15 hours
And yeah...most non-RPG games for the system can be beaten in a couple of hours at most...

Those times look about right to me.
For some completely random games, Super Castlevania IV and Super Ghouls n' Ghosts come to mind.

Play Turtles IV: Turtles in Time.
Eff all that RPG nonsense. You need a beat 'em up.

Wow 15 hours on ogre battle? I find that hard to believe without a crap load of practice. It takes me forever to clear as much as I have in the past into it (2/3 of the game.)
If you want something fast, get a third party platformer, a 'final fight' game or a clone of that style (even an import like Sailor Moon R), a shooter that's vertical horizontal or both.
It's thanksgiving and unless you're alone finding 20+ hours in a few days to take down an adventure like a Zelda type or a RPG probably isn't realistic.

Really? I think 2-3 hours a day X 7 days is pretty reasonable. Get up an hour earlier than everyone, stay up an hour later, etc.

Some quick suggestions off the top of my head:
Sparkster (this is different from the Genesis title)
Imperium
Donkey Kong Country (obvious, I know)
Mega Man X 1-3
Super Castlevania IV
Cybernator
