Yes! If OP has not played this, this is the correct answer.

I'm still trying to understand why that is, but my brain just won't do it.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

That... I mean, Goof Troop is a'ight, but one of the best of all time? That way lies madness.

You can beat The 7th Saga in seven days.

Ack, true enough about the bouncing up certain stuff beyond a logical point. A good example is the average Strider knockoff Run saber that got jammed up not that long ago which before hand was a push to sell for $5 and it's anything but that now. I'm not sure that many will hail Goof Troop as a solid game. I've tried it before on a multicart I have and it made little sense fun wise to me.

The retro market is just bonkers now. There's so much stuff I'd picked up a few years ago. I thought prices seemed high then...

Interesting on Run Saber. Had no idea it was worth that much now. It's actually a decent game. I'm not sure how large the print run was on it, which could be influencing the value. Or it could just be that folks want Strider knockoffs.

Heck, look at what The Adventures of Batman & Robin is going for these days, or Sparkster. There are a few SNES games that I understand the high price tag, like Fun N Games, but wow folks have been pumping up some of the gems.

Wow, those are a lot of options. Probably gonna pass on the "big" RPG's as I'd like to take my sweet, precious time exploring every inch of those game worlds, I'm sure. Same with DKC3 in a way..

I suppose I'll plug all these suggestions into "howlongtobeat" and go for the ones with the shortest times for completion. Awesome suggestions for the SNES in general too! Thanks.

It is ironic that you mention Sparkster, given that I literally just found a copy last week for $5. :)

Great game, by the way. Didn't know about Batman & Robin, that's a pretty cool game. Wish I had a copy! Apparently hanging on to the games I have was a good move, because tons of them are getting really pricey. I just can't believe it's exploded so quickly. It wasn't this insane around three years ago!

I think there's a big tendence in retro gaming to rave about practically every game, even those that are fairly mediocre. It's a bit of a false positivity in so far it isn't really about the games themselves but about collecting and finding "hidden gems", dunno.

Still, if I remember correctly, Goof Troop is actually a reskin of Adventure Island, which might explain why it's so praised in some circles.

How Long to Beat says that Hook is 2-4 hours. :)
